5 Stars Good Design; Great Price
I like to listen to live radio or archived interview shows while I do other work around the house. Unfortunately, my laptop was putting out insufficient volume for that, even when set at its top volume. If I walked to the other end of a room, I could easily miss segments of a show.
Thus, I started checking out the Amazon selections. FYI, I am a big fan of Amazon due to its product selection, customer reviews, free shipping, absence of sales tax, generally discounted prices (mostly, but not always), and easy return policy.
The design of this speaker–especially its unobtrusiveness–caught my eye. I saw that many past customers had enjoyed it, with the exception of Dell users, but since I intended it for an IBM ThinkPad, I didn’t see any glitches ahead. Just as I’d hoped, the speaker has performed marvelously. I’m really happy to have acquired it at such a reasonable price.
A minor inconvenience is that it over-rides the volume buttons at the top of my keyboard (for higher/lower volume + mute). Advertising often comes on super-loud & I do miss having my mute button for that. However, the technology to allow use of the speaker, as well as my keyboard buttons, would likely cost a lot more than what I paid for this. So I accept his small inconvenience. Just as I’d hoped, the speaker has made a big difference in my ability to go to any part of a room and still catch every word in a broadcast. All in all, it’s an excellent speaker for the price!
5 Stars VERY Impressed
I was skeptical about this product. Haven’t had good luck with inexpensive add on speakers in the past. But it works fabulously… loud, clear, true sound. Also, unlike some previous reviewers, my (refurbished Gateway) PC volume controls work fine. Plugged it in; didn’t work; rebooted my PC; worked fine (which, when I later read the instructions, was all covered… it wants to be plugged in when the PC powers up). Now, it’s likely not loud enough to do rock concerts for your friends, but for what we use it for (listening to music and watching movies) it is just the ticket. Really good sound in a very small, easy to deal with package.

5 Stars Perfect portability
This was just what I needed. I love my tiny new netbook, but I hate its tinny low-volume sound. But buying external speakers would kind of defeat the main reason I got such a tiny new computer–so I could easily pick it up and move around the house with it. Lugging a separate set of speakers around with it was not going to make me happy.
Then I found this B-Flex speaker. It’s perfect for me. I just plugged it into the USB port and it played. It’s a little heavier than I anticipated and it therefore wiggles a bit in the port, so I was concerned it wouldn’t stay in place while I moved my computer from room to room–but after several days of doing exactly that, there’s been no problem. The speaker remains quite secure, yet is simple to remove when I don’t need it.
In summary, the sound quality is quite satisfactory for my everyday needs, the speaker is easy to use (just plug it in), but best of all, for me, it’s very portable–even when attached to my also very portable computer.

I have purchased this product for my wife’s Lenovo laptop. It worked out of the box for the next 2 weeks. After 2 weeks it stopped working. Since my wife was away from home, I was not able to troubleshoot it for her. Now that she’s back home I tried to make it work but to now avail – cannot make it work on any laptop. Basically, the speaker works, but it produces a very weak sound, by far weaker then any laptop built-in speakers! You literally have to stick your face into your laptop to hear that it actually produces sounds. I tried it on several laptops and the same behavior. I am now trying to return to the manufacturer, as I can no longer return to amazon.
