4 Stars Perfect Portable stand for your iphone.
This is a real nice portable stand for your iphone, specially if you travel and want to use your iphone watching movies on the airplane. Folds flat and does not take much room in your bag.
3 Stars Nice idea – Some serious design flaws
Neat design…
1 – Made out of grippy rubber – essential to stop it slipping around during use.
2 – Adjustable angle for different situations.
3 – One design that allows Landscape and Portrait views – essential for the iPhone.
Unfortunately…
1 – Because of the design, that grippy rubber only touches the desk on three small curved feet. This doesn’t provide enough contact to stop it sliding with each button press.
2 – The height adjuster is very neat but it seems to be designed just for watching videos. Even at it’s lowest setting, it’s too vertical for typing.
3 – In Landscape, the feet curve up around the front of the phone so much they get in the way of the keyboard.
I’m amazed how frequently design flaws like these get through the testing stage.
The only way I could get this to be usable as a desk stand was to remove the height adjuster completely and CUT the curved part of the back foot off, making it flat. This solved the first two problems: The whole underside of the rubber support arms are now in contact with the desk, providing lots of grip and the angle is now suitable for typing.
Summary: If you want a stand for watching movies, this one is great. If you want a stand that will hold the phone while you actually use it, be prepared to do some major surgery first.
5 Stars Highly Recommend – Perfect Solution
I like to download cookbooks to the Kindle.
The problem: How to keep the Kindle upright and at the right angle so I can follow the recipes while cooking.
The solution: iZel
The iZel’s design allows me to angle the Kindle perfectly so I can actively cook while following the recipes. Plus, the iZel holds the Kindle well above any spills that are a common event in my kitchen.
This is a great product. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs their hand-held device to become a hands-free device. Plus, it is durable, portable and cleans up easily – making it the solution for any cook who likes to use their Kindle in the kitchen.
4 Stars It Works
Clever design and, does exactly what it claims: folds and snaps together to hold your device in either landscape or portrait mode, with or without a case. It’s also ‘rubberized’ which should minimize slipping around on smooth surfaces.
The iZel is much more sturdy (and possibly more durable) than the Tiko Fold Travel Stand that I also purchased.
The only real downside is that it does seem somewhat overpriced.
Can’t wait to try it out on my next flight.

great stand. opens nicely to lay flat in my carrying case.
multiple adjustments nice to change viewing angles and
allow for usage of different units. made of rubber or silicone
allowing for a good grip. plastic would not have worked.
worry about the “pegs” that pop into place but seam pretty
strong and haven’t broken yet. only con is it is a bit
expensive but haven’t seen anything better for the blackberry
8830. have a crystal case over the blackberry and the stand
works fine with it. great to move around with my universal
keyboard 2 for good viewing.
