User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars As Advertised
This is a great product that does exactly what is proclaims. It stays in my ear without me having to worry about it falling out. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that it is somewhat uncomfortable. I am satisfied with this purchase.

5 Stars Best earbuds out there for smaller ears (and for running)
I’ve tried all the headphones I could get my hands on and my tiny ears just won’t hold them in. As you can imagine, this has been quite the nuisance when I want to listen to music on the go, having to carry around larger headphones that don’t fold up nicely to a pocket size like earbuds do. Well, these work perfectly for me. I did have to change out the orange bits for the smaller version (all this is included) and figure out exactly how to get it to fit them into my ears, but once over the short learning curve, they worked perfectly.

I wore them this afternoon while fixing my desk, and this required a lot of movement which would have previously prevented me from listening to my iPod since the buds would most certainly have fallen out with any kind of movement. I do have larger headphones that I can wear while listening to my iPod, but they’re rather cumbersome when attempting to move around.

I can’t say these are the best for everyone out there, but for those who like to listen to music while doing heavy-duty housekeeping or exercise, and especially if you have smaller ears, these are what I’d recommend.

Regarding the sound quality, I have to disagree with the other reviewers. The sound quality in these are definitely not what I get in my higher-end larger headphones, but it’s better than what I’m used to hearing out of earbuds. The lacking bass is not uncommon with earbuds in general, but these in particular, though not perfect, are a step up from the free earbuds that come with Apple products. If you want earphones that give you high-quality sound, you ought to be checking out a whole different set of headphones anyway.

3 Stars Neutral
Since I like to listen to music pretty loud while exercising, I agree with another reviewer who said that the sound quality diminishes noticeably above half-way. That’s the biggest negative for these headphones–and for the price, it’s a big negative.

Interesting design if you’re used to canal-phones, or speakers that fit in your ear canal. Earphones which sit outside your ear canal, like those that come with iPods tend to fall out while jogging, esp. in Florida where sweat is an issue. These do stay in place and at least for me, they weren’t uncomfortable.

I tend to go through headphones at the same pace as shoes (almost quarterly). I just went through a pair of Skull Candy canal-phones in two months. I purchased these because: the novel design to stay in the ear and because they have an the asymmetrical cord, which diminishes cord weight and thus the downward pull on most earphones, esp. while running where repetitive bouncing of the cord helps to pull earphones out.

So: if you like to listen to your music loud while exercising and sound quality is important to you, then you probably want to continue shopping. By the way, Skull Candy earphones had excellent sound quality at high volume–too bad they broke so easily. I’ll use these earphones until they break or I get too frustrated with the poor sound quality and then continue on my quest for good, reliable, very durable headphones. Perhaps I’m asking for too much??

5 Stars Great for running
I have been looking for earbuds that stay in my ears during my jogs. I saw these in a review against other earbuds in men’s magazine last month and they rated out the best for sound and their ability to stay in the ears even when wet.

They work great and are as advertised. I highly recommend them to anyone that worksouts, runs, jogs, etc.

4 Stars Made mainly for excercise, and it does that well…
The bass response on these earphones is quite remarkable. You get excellent sound quality as is expected from the higher price. The water resistant technology that is put into these earphones is excellent for people who perform rigorous exercise or simply for those who sweat a lot. The biggest drawback with these earphones is comfort. I have, in my opinion, average sized ears. I cannot wear these earphones for longer than a 30 minutes before I notice a slight discomfort. This makes these headphones perfect for exercise, as they will most definitely not fall out of your ears. If you do a lot of music listening through earphones, however, these will not work as a substitute pair. For that, I suggest looking at other sennheiser earphones without the twist-to-fit technology. I am, nevertheless, very happy with this product as my main exercise earphones and would make the purchase again for that specific purpose.
