5 Stars iHome Clock Radio
This item is great. I first saw this item in our hotel room during a trip to Las Vegas. I thought it was great and ordered it immediately. The sound is great and I can wake to my favorite music.

4 Stars Great Value: Not Top Notch, But Not The Priciest Either
This unit satisfied my main needs: Charge my iPod overnight without use of my computer, line out to my stereo so I can still blast things that I want to hear with “big sound” without concern for battery life, and allow casual late night listening without disturbing others in the house. I got my unit new for $50, a price at which this is a steal. This is a few generations old, so if your iPod is newer than around a 2G nano, the cradle isn’t included; so hopefully you still have & don’t use the one your iPod came with. My only gripe is the joke of a remote which, even with a fresh battery, is useless further than 3′ away from the unit; Again, for the overall price it’s a sacrifice that I can deal with. For it’s $100 MSRP, I’d say skip this unit & spend more for better sound & quality, but if you can find a deal, this unit will work well for everyday casual listening.

5 Stars Great Product!
I just received this product a few days ago and I am so impressed with it. The sound is sound is exactly like listening to your Ipod but without the uncomfortable earbuds. The volume gets pretty loud and the speakers don’t crackle or anything. It sounds great!

The sleep feature is great, I put it on the first night and set it for 15 min and volume of my choice and at 15 minutes it turned right off.

The AM/FM radio is also a very nice touch. This product comes with a cord antenna to help get better stations but I didn’t have to take the antenna out of the clear package because it brought in my favorite stations without even using the antenna. I don’t listen to AM radio but their is an AM antenna too.

This product is absolutely perfect and was exactly what I was looking for!

1 Star Terrible sound quality, really difficult to use
I used this model during a two-night stay at a Marriott hotel in Boston. I found the sound quality of the iH8 really appalling, and the volume does not go up very high. The sound quality makes your 256kps MP3 files sound little better than the stuff you get on an average FM radio, and the volume is not loud enough even for a typical double at the Marriott.

What makes the model really suck is it’s very difficult to figure out. For example, I looked and looked but could not figure out how to set the time (it was off by 10 minutes). The alarm setting is also very confusing. Also, the display does not show you much information, and it cannot be dimmed at night when you go to bed.

I had heard good things about iHome products before but was totally disappointed by my experience. I had been thinking of getting one at Toys r us for fifty bucks but will now look elsewhere for a better-quality iPod clock radio.

5 Stars Love it!
I love my iHome. It is exactly what I needed – plays my ipod or i can listen to the radio. The only thing i don’t like is the antenna. It’s this random wire that hangs off the back, which my cat sometimes likes to bite at. However, the sound is great, and it has two alarm settings so you can have set two different times which is nice. I also like how the light dims so at night it’s not bothersome.
