2 Stars Somewhat misleading
Overall, I was dissapointed in these buds. Their description calls them “noise isolating earbuds.” This seems like an intentional attempt to mislead the shopper into thinking they are the same as “noise cancelling” earbuds, which is what I was shopping for. Ultimately, of course, it is my responsibility, but calling them that is obviously an attempt to mislead. Needless to say, they are NOT noise cancelling.
To make matters worse, their sound quality is mediocre – too much highs and not enough bass. If they were $10, they would be OK.
I recommend that you pass them by.
1 Star AFTER 6 MONTHS 1 EAR WILL STOP WORKING
I have a protective case for my IPOD and earbuds and took very good care of both. For no reason one ear stopped working after about 6 months, and there is no way it can be fixed. I wrote Amazon trying to get a refund or exchange and they simply ARE NOT RESPONDING TO ME. If you buy this item and it has this problem that me and so many others have experienced, there is nothing- absolutely nothing- you can do about it. DO NOT BUY this product is my whole-hearted recommendation.
5 Stars Get these.
So far i am loving these earphones. i have the ipod ones-yuck-i HATE those ear buds but the Jbuds are awesome. They fit well, they sound great, they look good, i love how noise is blocked out (almost TOO well lol). Don’t be afraid to buy these little guys. Totally worth it!
2 Stars Mediocrity is an achievable goal…
These earbuds are somewhat below average, although not by much.
The good: Sound isolation is decent, and the earbuds are quite comfortable. They rarely fall out, and can be worn for extended periods of time.
The Bad: Sound quality. For the life of me, I can’t understand how people call these “Hi-Fi” as the sound quality is worse than iPod earbuds. In particular, I find that some EQ is needed to bring the treble up. As for the bass, it is non-existant. If I can’t hear the bass guitar in a music, there is a serious problem. And by can’t hear, I mean do literally mean “cannot hear”.
Other thoughts: Many reviewers here have commented on the good sound quality of these ear buds, and several reviewers have commented on the poor sound quality. My thought is that the production tolerances aren’t great, so you may end up with one that sounds good, or you may be like me and get a set that sounds like a crystal radio.
One final note: I have yet to find anywhere that sells these for $80. Even the JLabs website sells them for ~$30.
1 Star They suck
The connection (between the wire and the jack) broke after 2 months of regular use.
